Nizoral Shampoo

Nizoral Shampoo is a medicated shampoo containing ketoconazole, an antifungal ingredient used to treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It works by targeting the yeast (Malassezia) that causes flaking, itching, and irritation on the scalp. Available in strengths of 1% and 2%, Nizoral is known for its ability to provide effective relief from dandruff while preventing its recurrence with regular use

Nizoral Shampoo works by using its active ingredient, ketoconazole, an antifungal agent, to treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. Ketoconazole targets Malassezia, a type of yeast that naturally lives on the scalp and, in excess, contributes to dandruff, itching, and flaking. By reducing the growth of this yeast, Nizoral helps to alleviate these symptoms and prevent their recurrence. The shampoo also helps to normalize the skin’s oil production, further reducing irritation and flaking. For best results, it is used 2-3 times per week

1. Wet your hair and scalp thoroughly before applying the shampoo
2. Apply a small amount of Nizoral Shampoo to the scalp and gently massage it in, covering the affected areas
3. Leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes to allow the active ingredient to work
4. Rinse thoroughly with water, ensuring no residue is left on the scalp or hair

No major side effects are observed but some people may experience skin redness, pain, and irritation

Results from using Tretinoin typically start to appear within 4 to 6 weeks of consistent use. However, for more noticeable improvements in acne and skin texture, it can take 8 to 12 weeks or longer
